Tales from the needle: Volume XII
As told by lovelyspirit1:
Well, I have one tattoo and the tat is on my lower back, in the middle. It’s pretty much where people consider where the tramp stamp usually is. It says “tramp,” and it is a stamp *laughing* No, it’s not that. So my tattoo is actually a fleur-de-lis, but it’s supposed to be a fleur-de-lish paintbrush. At the time, I was majoring in interior design, so I thought it would be a good idea to get it.
After having it for some years now, I’ve discovered that some people don’t know what it is. The paint dripping off the brush is red, and people associate red drippings with blood. Because of that, it tends to look like a dagger, like a fleur-de-lis dagger that’s coming out of my back versus a paintbrush.
So, do I like it? I did when I got it, but I don’t anymore. I would like to get it covered but, for me, tattoos are extremely painful and I was told that I got it in the worst spot for my first tattoo, but…I can’t see myself getting another one or becoming addicted to them. I love the art, and I wish that I could stand the pain, but I can’t. So here I am with this tattoo that I’m not very proud of. But I’m talking about it, because I care about you *laughing* But yeah, I’m not proud of it. I would probably like to get it covered or something or expanded…maybe.
